I’ve always been a fan of Last Night of the Proms. It’s a huge celebration of how great is it to be British.

Many classically trained musicians love playing the old classics in what had become a traditionally selected programme of music.

However, I’ve never seen a Proms night quite like that in the video.

Bassoon players rocking out to Status Quo. What on earth? This unlikely combination produced a fantastic over all sound with the band backed by a full orchestra who were clearly loving their performance, as were the singer towards the back.
