I remember when this song, Luka, was in the charts. Suzanne Vega seemed as though she was on every radio station I tuned into.

It was a great song and I went through a short phase where it would feature heavily on CD player. (Yes back in the days of CDs)

It wasn’t until years later that the true meaning of the lyrics hit home when I was listening to it in the car. I was mortified, but… I still think it is a really good song and whenever I hear the guitar and the phrase, “My name is Luka”, it takes me back to much happier period in my life, even if it is a song about domestic violence.
