You know when you’re fed up of the music constantly being pumped out by radio stations with their “that was”, “this is”, “coming up” DJs?

I often crave new music and it was in the early 2000s that I came across a band called “Great Big Sea“. A group of guys from Newfoundland, Canada, got together and something really special happened.

I would never had heard their music had it not been for the Podsafe Music Network, a music distribution platform created by the now defunct Podshow.

My favourite song that they performed was a song entitled “The River Driver”. It was a stunning acapella performance, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Anyway, for whatever reason, the band broke up in 2013. After a ten year break, maybe we can start to think about a reunion concert, perhaps even reformation, eh lads?
